The Network is a Registered Charity and also a Company Limited by Guarantee.  The project was set up in 1990 and provides everything you need for Play.  Play has to be the most important way to learn.   All of our Services offer the highest standard of quality and value and cater for all children including special needs.
Our workers are fully qualified and experienced in a variety of childcare settings.  All of toys and equipment comply with the latest health and safety regulations.
                              
WHAT WE PROVIDE:

MOBILE CRECHE PROVISON
Are you organising a training event, seminar, conference or workshop? 
The EDPCN Mobile Creche has the answer we can provide sessional day care for children whilst parents participate in training sessions. The mobile Creche covers all Durham Districts Areas. The children will be welcomed into a happy, comfortable environment. A range of agreed policies and procedures are followed by the crèche as recommended by Ofsted Registration and Inspection Unit. All childcare staff are qualified and experienced with a commitment to providing quality child care for all children and undergo relevant Ofsted checks.

PLAY TRAINING
We operate various Play Training Sessions for providers for example Face Painting, Playing with Food, Puppet Making, Easter Crafts, these are just a few. Play Training Sessions are the first steps for participants to return into formal education.

TOY LIBRARY
Our Toy Library Service is situated in Sedgefield Library where we loan various toys to parents, individuals, children, young people, schools, childminders, nurseries, playgroups and many more groups/organisations.  We have lots of Toys to choose from, you pay an annual membership of £2 per year and no extra costs per week.  Also we have a selection of Educational Boxes to hire at a minimum cost: Games, Additional Needs, music etc.
We also provide Toy Library Training Sessions for anyone wanting to set up a Toy Library.

PLAY IN THE PARK ACTIVITIES AND PLAY RANGERS
During the School Holidays we operate “Play in the Park Activities” in Trimdon and surrounding area’s.  Play in the park are fun, exciting sessions for families, children and young people. Play Rangers are coming shortly to Trimdon Village, Trimdon Colliery, Trimdon Village and Fishburn.  Watch out for posters and leaflets…….

PLAY CELEBRATION
The EDPCN assist in the planning and delivery of Play Celebration which is to be held on Wednesday 4th August 2010.  The event is inclusive and free.

CHILDRENS FANCY DRESS COSTUMES
We hire out various Children’s Costumes from £2 per session (over 180 to choose from).

PLAY EQUIPMENT
We have various play equipment to hire for example:  Play parachute, sports coaching sets, ball pool, badge maker and much more…
